Vagina – This tube like organ connects the uterus to the outside of the body. The birth of the baby follows its path.

Cervix – The cervix is the lower portion of the uterus into the vagina.

Uterus – (womb) It is the hollow pear shaped organ with a muscular wall and lining. The uterus expands many times in size during pregnancy.

Ovaries – These are small almond shaped structure located on either side. They produce eggs as well as hormones like estrogen and progesterone.

Fallopian tubes – These soft, thin tubes extend from uterus to the ovaries. During ovulation an ovary releases an egg which is caught by the finbria of the tube and brought into the tubal channel.
